Can you imagine the different response the media would have if Barack Obama was doing the exact same things as President Trump is doing during this coronavirus pandemic?
When Obama shut the border with China, the media would have called it bold and forward-thinking in the face of criticism.
When he called for social distancing of six feet and for a shutdown of the entire economy and life as Americans know it until April 30, the media would applaud his swift and decisive action in order to stem the virus’ spread.
At every press conference Obama would give, the media would fawn and praise and call Barack Obama the bravest, most courageous president we have ever had.
He would be lauded for slashing regulations at the FDA so the promising drug hydroxychloraquine could be immediately used for patients who are suffering from COVID-19.
He would no doubt win both the Nobel Peace Prize (again!) and the Nobel Prize for Medicine.

But, because their hated and despised Donald Trump is president, the media is doing everything assbackwards, in order to — as they have been trying to do for the last three years – GET TRUMP.
It’s so hopeful to see that many medical doctors and scientists are seeing actual promise with the lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and malaria drug hydroxychloraquine.
Scientists first noticed the strange anomaly when people with these three conditions were not coming down with the coronavirus.
As many know, this discovery is how a lot of medical advances are found. Every girl’s (and some bodyshaving men’s) favorite secret weapon, Botox, was discovered accidentally as well. Botulinum toxin was originally used to treat a Belgian botulism outbreak, and then scientists realized it was paralyzing muscles. Ta-da, a multibillion-dollar industry was born.
The same thing happened when Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin.
In other words, it was developed for one thing, and then used for something else entirely.
But because the media hates President Trump so fiercely, they will not allow even the promise of this drug to be allowed to infiltrate the collective consciousness.
Bonus: any mention of hydroxychloroquine will immediately get you #cancelled. Laura Ingraham, Rudy Giuliani and other conservatives have been forced to remove tweets or mentions of the promise of hydroxychloroquine, under penalty of deplatforming.
I mean….this isn’t totalitarian AT ALL.
Leftists and media would rather watch more people die and watch the coronavirus numbers tick up so they can blame President Trump — because Trump CANNOT be right about anything.
But, because he is an iconoclast who ultimately trusts his intuition (which has proven remarkably correct), Trump slashed leftists’ beloved regulations to the FDA and is allowing hydroxychloraquine to get to those in need of it as soon as possible.
Two days ago, Rachel Maddow and the rest of the media clowns were beside themselves and breathlessly saying there’s no way Trump can get a hospital ship to New York City by the end of this week. It was a lie! It was giving people false hope!
Well, on Monday (the very day Trump promised) the hospital ship Comfort indeed landed in New York Harbor. Her sister, Mercy, landed in Los Angeles. Eat crow, Rachel.
While I still think this hysterical reaction to a relatively small number of deaths is overblown, and that measures in New York City do not necessarily need to be taken throughout the country, President Trump has shown without any question that he was the right man to handle this crisis.
He shut the borders with China, Iran, and Europe – much to the faux lament of the radical left who used this action to scream “racism.”
He slashed regulations so hydroxychloraquine can be tested on willing patients, without first going through years of trials.
He is giving a sense of calm and reassurance — and telling Americans not to panic.
With the social distancing rules, hand washing protocol, and temporarily shutting down so much of what we know, we WILL get through this.
When Joe Biden drops out of the presidential race, which he will, and they try and shoehorn Andrew Cuomo into his spot, just remember that Cuomo hysterically and irresponsibly said the rest of the country should brace for the exact same coronavirus results seen in New York City.
Ah yes. New York City — whose leaders told their citizens to go out and hug Chinese people and go to the Chinese parade and continue to do all the things they are doing — while President Trump is shutting down the border with China and being called a racist because of it. New York City – whose citizens essentially live on top of each other in tiny little apartments and whose population density is extremely high.
Newsflash, Gov. Cuomo: the rest of the country is not New York City. We do not live in overpriced, clowncar shoeboxes. We are not walking around in congested streets. Cities that have dense populations are obviously more at risk for concentrated outbreak, but to say the rest of the country is going to be like New York is the height of irresponsibility.
If President Trump said what Cuomo did, the panic would have been through the roof.
President Trump does not want to panic Americans. That’s the job of the media and Democrats.
We’re going to get through this, and I predict right now that hydroxychloraquine is going to be what we’ve all been praying for. Then, the latest event the media, Democrats, and the Deep State tried to push will once again fail.
Americans are a hardy lot. Our economy will roar back, and the Democrats will have nowhere to go but down.
At least they’ll always have Russia!
