Politico published an article a few days ago in which Wall Street players – and most of them are leftists first and foremost, free-market capitalists second — urged President Trump not to reopen the country because we shouldn’t do anything at all until people weren’t afraid of getting coronavirus anymore.
What an absurd and astonishing thing to say.
This got me to thinking about how much things have really changed.
Our current leftist status quo culture has created an entire generation of children who have been coddled to the point where they cannot live as functioning adults. Their mommies call their jobs and scold their bosses for yelling at their child. Their helicopter parents scream at teachers for giving their precious sons and daughters a bad grade, even though their precious sons and daughters earned that bad grade. Coaches “award” participation trophies just for showing up – and woe to anyone who suggests having a winner and a loser of a soccer match! Teachers won’t give grades or rank students according to accomplishment because it would hurt other students’ feelings. This is often now the norm.
Our current leftist status quo culture tells us that rugged individualism is white privilege patriarchy, and that everyone is a victim of it.
Everyone is a victim of everything.
And now, our leftist masters want us to all think we are victims to coronavirus.
As the virus data continue to come out, it will be shown that not only is this panic almost totally manufactured by the Deep State – I said it and I mean it! – but that the relatively low number of fatalities do not support this draconian shut down any further.
As we discover who has already had the disease, because it’s been here a whole lot longer than Drs. Fauci and Birx want you to think, the number of deaths is going to plummet to around the level of the common flu. I would make book on that.
In fact, in places like Sweden where they forego all social distancing mitigation, they had a spike in the numbers of infections, but no discernible difference in the number of deaths per capita. And now their citizens are going to be immunized against it naturally – thanks to herd immunity.
I’m not an anti-vaccine person. I think people who don’t want to get vaccines for polio, chicken pox, measles, smallpox and other diseases are loopy. I might actually consider getting a vaccine for coronavirus if it becomes available.
But here’s a fact: the people who are hard-core pushing this vaccine are also the people pushing participation trophies and snowflake culture. They continue to scare the public by saying outlandish things like we can’t go back to work for eighteen months and ONLY if there’s a vaccine!
We live in a society that evidently values “safety” and fear over freedom and liberty.
They don’t understand how this country was founded, or why. They think the Founding Fathers were racist slaveholders, so everything they touched should be destroyed.
I’m not wrong. Look how so many people have just capitulated their God-given and constitutionally protected rights for “safety.”
It’s a load of garbage.
We have created a generation of wimps. Those of us who are old enough to understand personal responsibility and that there are consequences to stupidity are pulling our hair out against this collective freak-out over basically a messy flu.
We have had enough of the nanny state holding everybody’s hand and telling us what to do — for our own good, of course.
I’m going to keep saying this until I’m blue. The median age for this disease is 70+. Most of those people had underlying health conditions, like obesity, heart disease, type two diabetes, and the like. Young people generally are not dying of coronavirus.
We’re not all Sleeping Beauty who pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and then drops dead.
But that’s what our status quo leftist overlords want you to think. These people have systematically not only ruined our culture but are attempting to destroy America right in front of our eyes.
I am not the first person to point to the Naked Emperor and say: “But he doesn’t have any clothes on at all!”
However, sadly, I am in the minority who sees what is going on around them, and the attempted control by the state of all citizens.
If you want to be a sheep, knock yourself out. If you want to stay cloistered inside your home wearing a hazmat suit and NOT take hydroxychloroquine if you get sick, go for it.
But leave the rest of us alone to get on with our lives – as free-thinking and free-acting individuals who make informed choices for ourselves.
