Holy crap what did we just watch?!
Tuesday night was the debate the entire world has been waiting for. We would finally see if Joe Biden was going to show up without any help from his Teleprompter or anyone whispering in his ear and go toe to toe with Donald Trump for 90 minutes.
And the world watched a Sherman tank run Joe Biden over…and over…and over again.
To be fair, Trump didn’t just have to debate Joe Biden. He also had to debate Chris Wallace. After all, this was the debate where Joe Biden was going to allegedly get some real questions because it was on Fox News. Oh, how naïve we were!
For all those people saying Trump was a bully, unpresidential, or came off too harshly: are you serious!? For the last four and a half years, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Trump has battled the establishment on both sides of the aisle, the media, leftist culture, the bureaucracy, academia, and every other leftist known to man.
I don’t blame him one bit for coming out swinging.
Were there things he could’ve done better? Yes. We are all Monday morning quarterbacks giving the coulda, shoulda, wouldas.
For example, he should have explained his Charlottesville comments once and for all. He never said neo-Nazis were good people. He was saying there are good people on both sides of the issue — for keeping the statues up, and for removing the statues.
He also could’ve clarified the “bleach” charge. In fact he never said anyone should inject himself with bleach to kill the coronavirus! That’s just insane, but the left keeps running with it.
Regarding the masks, he should have said: “There is no scientific evidence that prove masks do anything but provide psychological comfort to those wearing them. If you want to wear a mask, knock yourself out. But making them mandatory is tyrannical and the very definition of government overreach.” Done and done.
As well, when asked about climate change he should have said (and I bet he wanted to in his heart of hearts) the climate is always changing, and man has nothing to do with it. He got points for pointing out how well America dealt with clean air and water as compared to the rest of the world.
On law and order Trump shone the brightest. There is simply no debate. Joe Biden has no endorsements from any law-enforcement agencies in the entire country. He was slow on the uptake (to say the least) to condemn violent riots and protests. His vice-presidential running mate urged people to give money to bail out Minneapolis riders from jail. Remember, boys and girls: peaceful protesters don’t go to jail. Rioters and looters do. Joe Biden never forcefully condemned any of it.
Biden also dropped the ball when it came to his precious son Hunter. So many whoppers were told about the money Hunter received from Burisma, Moscow, China, and Ukraine. And Biden lied about it all. He also distanced himself from some of the left’s favorite things: Medicare for All and the Green New Deal.
The collective left is understandably freaking out about this, because they rightfully assumed Biden was all in on their insane ideas. The fact he had to distance himself from them shows how radical those ideas truly are.
As Dan Bongino said quite brilliantly – this is a base election and Trump knows it. There are so few Americans who are actually undecided at this point. Trump did not lose one single person from his base during the first debate.
Can we say the same for Joe Biden? He came off as prickly, insulting, dishonest, and weirdly stared into the camera begging America for votes. He is essentially a walking corpse.
Democrats won’t tell you this, but they are panicking. Trump may be a bull in a china shop, but he’s done a hell of a lot for this country and he’s not just going to sit back and let Chris Wallace or the media lie about him or his record. And he’s not going let Joe Biden get away with what he’s done, either.
More and more will be coming out about how Biden was connected to the Obamagate scandal and Hillary Clinton’s issues. His own family’s financial corruption will soon be laid bare. Expect Trump to punch even harder in the next two debates.
Never bring a slingshot to a nuclear war. Joe Biden learned that the hard way on Tuesday night.
It may not be pretty, but Donald Trump is exactly what this country needs.
Deep down, even some of Joe Biden supporters know it as well.
