When the slightly-redacted Mueller report finally dropped last Thursday, it confirmed what anyone who had NOT been watching CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, or reading the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, or any other leftist rag already knew.
There is — and never was — no collusion or obstruction between Donald Trump and Russia.
While Robert Mueller and his merry band of Democrat hack lawyers tried to leave the door open for Congress to impeach over “obstruction” there is literally not one thing they could point to that was criminal.
That did not stop the media, however.
It’s really been quite an illustration in the psychological concepts of cognitive dissonance and gaslighting.
The definition of cognitive dissonance in a nutshell: you repeat something – either to yourself, or publicly — a long time, believing it to be true. When you learn something is not what you thought it was, you immediately pivot to pretend you never believed what you believed in the first place.
And the gaslighting that’s taking place is simple. The media is trying to pretend they did not spend the last three years obsessed about a fake hoax and the impossible notion that the President of the United States was a traitor and a Russian agent. Nope, that wasn’t crazy at all! It was the right-wing wackos who were out of their minds!
They gave no credence to what actually occurred – that the Obama administration, the Hillary Clinton campaign, and deep state actors in the CIA and FBI seriously attempted a widespread coup d’état against candidate and then President Donald Trump.
They instead accused President Trump of doing what THEY THEMSELVES did.
Gaslighting 101.
Liberals’ gaslighting that’s taking place now (denying any wrongdoing whatsoever when they aggressively pushed this hoax to the detriment of the country and the positivity of Donald Trump‘s agenda) began on the day that the Mueller report was finally released to the public.
And you know as well as I do: there will be no consequences for these people.
They all still have jobs, and they all get to still go on TV and run around with the elite in New York, Washington, and Los Angeles. Nothing will happen to them.
There was no self-reflection.
There was no humility.
There was no apology for RELENTLESSLY calling the President of the United States and people in his campaign traitorous Russian agents.
There was no explanation for WHY the people who actually pled guilty did so. It wasn’t due to “collusion.” It was because they were threatened by powerful people working for the Mueller investigation. Michael Flynn and George Papadopoulos pled to “process crimes.” Paul Manafort pled guilty to a tax issue (which the Obama administration had years ago declined to prosecute!). Their biggest crimes, of course, were supporting the ultimate disruptor — Donald J. Trump.
Nope. They have explained nothing. They have doubled down – and accelerated – on their outright deception.
Almost the entire media conglomerate said they had all performed admirably, were excellent journalists, and made zero mistakes. They did their jobs, as defenders of the First Amendment.
This is patently false and offensive.
The reality is, they went out of their way NOT to investigate the actual conspiracy. They went out of their way to denigrate, smear, and defame anybody who had a different point of view. Anyone reporting anything differently than their irrational obsession was seen as a kook, a Trump toady, or a Russian sympathizer.
That’s why the lemmings who watch and read their Orwellian propaganda were so shocked and dismayed when no collusion or obstruction was found!
The media (this also includes the “entertainment” industry) has been lying to their audiences and readers for three years – because they know these idiots live and breathe the fake news they peddle.
That’s why, after the Mueller Report was released, they switched from one gaslighting strategy to another – immediately.
My prediction is they will not stop, because they’re not forced to stop.
There is still a very large appetite for the utter horseshit they dump on the dumb among us every day.
The actual investigation into what Obama, Clinton, and the Deep State will soon begin. When Attorney General William Barr (and others) reach the conclusion that EVERYTHING Sean Hannity has said was true? The media won’t report it.

The clown car of Democrat candidates is not going to tell their fellow travelers in the media to stop, because they need these chumps’ votes — just like the media needs chump eyes glued to them.
There’s a part of me that never wants the media and elected Democrats to leave their Russian hoax bubble because it really is the funniest thing on television.
Watching the media defend their actions, pat themselves on their backs, and remind themselves that they won Pulitzer Prizes for their reporting on this scam is absurdly delicious.
The media will continue to push the completely discredited narratives of collusion and obstruction. When the Democrat presidential candidates begin their televised debates, the media will encourage candidates to do the same.
It’s going to be like all of us watching the biggest fiery car crash in human history – and telling the first responders, “Y’all can leave, we got this.”
The human part of you wants to help them out, but the part of you that is righteously furious at what they’ve done wants to watch them all burn.
Ah, yes.
Burn, baby, burn.
