The worldwide, collective Left is in full freak-out mode because of President Trump’s travel ban on seven majority-Muslim countries.
But they don’t seem to grasp that the United States is under no obligation to commit national suicide.
New York Senator Chuck Schumer blubbered like a baby who lost his blankey when talking about the temporary ban. Did he or ANY Democrat shed a tear for the victims of Muslim terror attacks in San Bernardino, Ft. Hood, St. Cloud, Minneapolis, Orlando, or Garland? Nope.
What these little tantruming hypocrites don’t seem to understand is the seven countries were culled from a list that in 2015 President Obama identified as terrorist safe havens.
They also can’t remember that in 2011, President Obama temporarily imposed a travel ban on Iraqis entering the United States. Their memories also escape them when recalling that President Carter banned Iranians from entering America during the Iran Hostage Crisis.
The Left’s hypocrisy is nothing if not consistent. The fact is, 325,000 people entered the United States on the first day of the travel ban. Only around 100 people were affected by it. After extra scrutiny, most of those people were released. People who have ties to the United States or permanent residence were allowed to continue on to their destinations.
Nobody has a right to live in the United States. It is a privilege. The United States has a national security duty to determine who enters this country. Nothing President Trump did is particularly out of the ordinary. It is only made so by the shrieking Grievance Industry on the Left.
This is not a “Muslim ban.” This is a terrorist-prone, geographical ban. If it was a Muslim ban, then travel to the other 50 majority Muslim countries would’ve also been affected.
Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world. Travel to and from Indonesia was not banned. Egypt is the largest Arab nation in the world. Travel to and from Egypt was not banned. Why? Because Egypt and Indonesia are not failed states. They are not terrorist safe havens. They were not on the original Obama watch list.
At the end of the day, Liberals will do what liberals do. They will obstruct President Trump at every turn. Unfortunately for them, the American people support what he is doing—nearing 60% at last count.
Keep digging that hole, Democrats. Your lies and obstruction to securing the border and tangible national security will be revealed every day.
