The systematic and leftist cultural takeover of American society is well underway.
No longer content with working within the system and accepting results of elections, now leftists in media and various well-funded radical groups are now painting with a broad brush the majority of Americans as racists and white supremacists.
After President Trump’s completely accurate statements about the protesters in Charlottesville–namely, that there is enough blame to go around on both sides–the media gave him a never-ending anal exam. This past weekend we saw more protests in favor of removing Confederate statues, screaming about police, and accusing conservatives of being racists. The Left is brutal and inexhaustible. Their main goal is to tear down America as founded and rebuild it as a jackbooted, unworkable Utopia.
The Left (and weak, milquetoast Republicans) continue the ridiculous lie that there are hooded white supremacists around every corner. Fact: if America was a 100 ft. x 100 ft. closet, the entirety of the KKK and neo-Nazis would fit in an engagement ring box. But no matter: the Left is attempting to paint 99% of conservatives as toothless, racist, misogynist, homophobic knuckle draggers.
And many Republicans are letting them defame us.
Donald Trump better get wise to this game. He is a man who likes to be liked, and for much of his public life, he has been liked, admired, and revered. The Swamp’s and leftists’ onslaught of hateful rhetoric towards him has clearly made him uncomfortable and defensive.
However: he must fully register that no matter what he does to placate or soothe egos, the Left and the media will despise him. The mainstream establishment Republicans who are scared of their own shadows will hate him.
He is the change agent We the People have been waiting for—and they know it. And we—the conservative, Trump base—are the only people he has left.
In the last few weeks, my antenna have been raised on President Trump’s willingness to jettison some of the people who were instrumental in getting him elected President, or best reflected the values of his campaign.
When Reince Priebus got the boot I wasn’t terribly concerned. After all, Priebus was of the establishment wing of the Republican Party. However, with the “resignations” of Steve Bannon and now Sebastian Gorka, my alarm bells are officially sounding. Too many Swamp Dwellers seem to be ascendant in the Trump administration.
Gorka put his dissatisfaction in writing to President Trump:
“Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will ‘Make America Great Again,’ have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months. This was made patently obvious as I read the text of your speech on Afghanistan this week…
“The fact that those who drafted and approved the speech removed any mention of Radical Islam or radical Islamic terrorism proves that a crucial element of your presidential campaign has been lost.”
This brings me to a parallel I’ve been mulling: The Schwarzenegger Effect.
I lived in California during the heady days of the Gray Davis recall election. Or, as I like to call it, California’s Last Gasp at Sanity. We had two choices to make. Number one: would we recall Democrat Governor Gray Davis, and two: Who would replace him?
After Davis was recalled, Republicans in the state had to choose from the conservative, asskicking (now Congressman) Tom McClintock and the outsider Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The Republican chattering class assumed that Schwarzenegger could POSSIBLY win and Tom McClintock would definitely NOT. That is why many of us held our noses and voted for Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Like Trump, the Terminator marketed himself as an outsider and a reformer, with many conservative ideas like securing the border, lowering taxes, and creating a business climate that would attract corporations.
Schwarzenegger was elected, and soon realized that–like every other Republican–the media reamed him with a hot poker pretty much every day.
He quickly grew wobbly and succumbed to the Left on immigration, taxes, and especially radical environmental regulations which stifle the economy. No longer a reformer, Schwarzenegger became just another RINO. He was a complete embarrassment and disappointment for California, and signaled the end of any Republican ever winning the state.
Trump should have doubled down and understood who got him elected–and it’s not frothing-at-the-mouth Antifa leftists and the racial terrorists of Black Lives Matter. Instead, President Trump tweeted out support for the bullying protesters, saying it was a good thing to march against “hate.”
In short, Trump succumbed to buying into the completely false narrative that conservatives marching for free speech are hateful!
This is defamation on a grand and perilous level. President Trump, let me remind you who voted for you.
They are the parents scrambling to put food on the table for their children.
They are the teachers working in an education system that doesn’t listen to them and is overwhelming them with liberal propaganda.
They are the citizens of border towns inundated with illegal immigrants demanding asylum and taxpayer benefits.
They are the factory workers who can’t find work due to liberal overregulation of every industry imaginable.
They are the young African-Americans who can’t find that first job because they are all taken by illegal immigrants.
They are the young men and women of our military who are desperate to have a Commander-in-Chief with a vision and not just putting their lives at risk for an unidentified mission.
They are these people, and so many more.
Mr. President, you know your base is not racist. We are white. We are black. We are Hispanic. We are Asian. We are men. We are women. We are young. We are old. We are straight. We are gay. We are Christians. We are Jews. We are Hindus. We are Muslims who understand the threat of radical Islam.
Please–stop the hemorrhaging of the conservatives from your administration, Mr. President. If you are only surrounded with Hillary supporters like Gary Cohn, you have lost your base.
It’s very simple to keep your promises.
Build the wall. Reform the tax code. Repeal and replace Obamacare with free-market principles. End burdensome regulations. Release the free market. Get government out of the way of education and people’s daily lives. Try and eradicate radical Islam in America and around the world.
In short: DRAIN THE SWAMP.
These are simple concepts and the ones the people who elected you expect you to implement. If elected Republicans continue to thwart you, continue to call them out. Do it often and publicly. Make them defend their inaction.
Let Arnold Schwarzenegger be your clarion warning call. You do not want to end up like him: a weak leader and ultimately a joke. A person who jettisoned the people who elected him in favor of temporary popularity from the people who hated him anyway; a footnote in history–and a man without a country.
Schwarzenegger thought he could be a man for everybody. He could not. Mr. President, you need to be the man the people who elected you expect you to be. Not what recalcitrant Republicans want you to be and certainly not what the rabid leftists destroying our culture and American history want you to be.
Be the man We the People KNOW you are.
